PTSO is a stylist that turns a person’s real wardrobe into outfits for any occasion. Users photograph and upload the pieces they own shirts, pants, shoes, hats into a digital closet. Claudette, the app’s AI stylist, then builds complete outfits from those pieces on request.

The Problem - Your closet already has the outfit. You just can't see it.
People now a-days struggle to create outfits and don't have time to sit in there closet and find a outfit for their event. Studies show the gap is even worse than people realize. A closet full of clothes, and still "nothing to wear." Most people only wear about 20 percent of their wardrobe, the other 80 percent just sits there unworn.
Getting dressed isn't free it costs real time and mental energy. The average person spends about 16 mins every morning deciding what to wear, which adds up to roughly 97 hours a year, more than two full work weeks.
How I built PTSO - The Approach
I started building PTSO from personal experience. I got deep into fashion, putting outfits together, leveling up how I dressed and when I went out with friends, they’d ask where I got something or how I knew the outfit would work. At the same time, I’d see friends with great pieces who still couldn’t figure out how to put them together. Most people don’t need more clothes; they need a clearer way to see what they already own.
Before designing anything, I did product research to check whether this was a real problem worth solving and a product worth building. Once that checked out, I pulled inspiration from Pinterest, Mobbin, and other references to shape a creative direction for PTSO.
From the start, I wanted PTSO to feel minimal and easy to understand less noise, clearer decisions, and a flow anyone could pick up fast.
The Flow - Solution
With PTSO, users add their clothes to a digital wardrobe through Claudette. Once those pieces are in, they ask her to make an outfit. Claudette follows up with a few questions about the event so she can read the vibe formal, casual, whatever they’re walking into then pulls from their wardrobe to build a complete look from what they already own.
Stores - Feature
Currently building a feature called stores, this feature allows users to asks claudette to search through users favorite stores to find articles of clothing that will help users outfit standout.

Giving AI Character and life
With Claudette will allow users to be able to give Claudette color, making Claudette feel personal to them from the start. We also made a deliberate design choice with the chat interface itself, giving it the same feel as iMessage. The goal is psychological: when someone messages Claudette, it should feel less like querying a tool and more like texting a friend.

Key Learnings
Start from a real moment, then validate it. Building from my own fashion experience got me moving fast, but research is what confirmed other people hit the same wall: great pieces, no clear way to put them together.
Don't reinvent the wheel, find inspiration from products that have paved the way for you to gain an understanding.
Get your hands dirty. Static screens weren’t enough to feel how Claudette should talk, so I prototyped the flow with Claude and Grok Bot. That made the chat feel more real and got me richer feedback than Figma alone.
